Here are cancellations and postponements for the area.

- Hoop Queen is postponed at Houston on Tuesday. The game against Laquey will not be held.
- Missouri State University-West Plains and the Mountain Grove Shannon Hall campuses, including all offices, will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 27, due to hazardous weather conditions. Online classes will be held and all seated classes will move to remote learning. Students should check Brightspace and their university email accounts for further instructions.
- Texas County schools will not be in session on Tuesday. The daycare at Plato will be closed. It is AMI Day 2 at Raymondville; and AMI Day 3 at Summersville.
- Head Start programs at Cabool, Houston and Licking will be closed Tuesday.
- Texas County Technical College will be closed Tuesday,
- Cabool Second Baptist Church Daycare will not be open Tuesday.
- Monday and Tuesday trash pick up will occur Tuesday in the City of Houston.
Monday
- Cabool Second Baptist Church Preschool will be closed Monday.
- The Houston bus will not run Monday.
- All TCMH clinics will be closed Monday – Licking Family Clinic, Houston Medical Office Complex and Dr. Wright’s clinic, Outpatient Surgery Clinic, Cabool Medical Clinic and Mountain Grove Clinic. Rehabilitation services clinic will be closed tomorrow, including physical, occupational and speech therapy Affected patients will be contacted for rescheduling.
- Texas County Library branches at Houston, Cabool, Licking and Summersville will be closed Monday.
- Missouri State University at West Plains and Mountain Grove will be closed Monday. Online classes will be held and all seated classes will move to remote learning.
- Nursing students at Cox College.
- These Texas County school districts are closed for Monday, Jan. 25: Houston, Licking, Plato (daycare, too), Raymondville (AMI day), Success and Summersville (AMI days 2 and 3). Cabool is normally not in session on Mondays. Summersville also will not be in session on Tuesday.
- Texas County Technical College will not be in session Monday.
- Head Start at Houston, Cabool and Licking will not be in session Monday.
- Services at Faith Fellowship will be online only Sunday, Jan. 25. A message and communion will be streamed at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube.
- Due to snow and extreme cold, all Houston First Baptist Church services for tomorrow (Jan 25) are cancelled. It will be sharing a sermon video on its Facebook page tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.
- Due to expected inclement weather this weekend, Montauk Lodge will remain closed. As of this writing, the park will remain open for catch-and-release trout fishing and camping. You can monitor the Missouri State Parks Status page for any changes at https://tinyurl.com/2cam8pjm.
