A collision Friday afternoon southeast of Houston on Route 17 injured one person, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Zayne Tate said a northbound 2023 Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 62-year-old Crocker woman failed to yield to make a left turn and was struck by a southbound 2015 Chevrolet Equinox operated by a 24-year-old woman from Rolla.

The Rolla resident had minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.

The Equinox had extensive damage; the Chrysler had moderate damage. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. No names were released.

Assisting at the scene were Cpl. Jacob Sellars and the Houston Rural Fire Department.
