An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died Wednesday, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.

Ethain Harris, 32, died at 10:22 p.m at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.

Harris was serving a 10-year sentence for one count of first-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of stealing of $750 or more, one count of first-degree property damage, one count of tampering with a motor vehicle, two counts of stealing a motor vehicle, one count of stealing, one count of stealing an animal, two counts of theft or stealing $500 or more, two counts of resisting or interfering with arrest and one count of delivery or possession of a weapon at a county or private jail out of Lawrence County.

He was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on July 23, 2021.

An autopsy will be conducted, the department said.
