A Licking man is charged with a felony following paperwork filed by the Texas County prosecutor’s office.

John R. Stiles, born in 1974, is charged with driving while revoked/suspended, a class E felony, following an investigation by the Licking Police Department on Jan. 14. According to a report, Licking police made contact with Stiles following an accident. A computer check found that Stiles’ license expired in February 2007 and his current operator status was listed as revoked.

Stiles told the officer he had a hardship license, and was in the process of getting his license back.

Stiles, according to the investigation, has five convictions within the past 10 years for driving while revoked.
