A Houston man is charged with four felonies following a pursuit Friday that ended when the suspect’s vehicle struck a county deputy’s vehicle in downtown Licking.
Jason R. Hall, born in 1981, is charged with second-degree assault (special victim), a class B felony; driving while revoked/suspended, a class E felony; aggravated fleeing a stop or detention (causing physical injury), a class B felony; and first-degree property damage, a class D felony.
Hall, of the 100 block of Sugar Maple Drive in Houston, failed to stop when being pursued at Licking. The chase occurred on Maple Drive, north on Hartville Road and east on Route 32 before ending in the downtown business district.
Authorities said Hall was driving a gold Lincoln car that entered an alleyway between two buildings on Main Street. At one point, Hall allegedly turned his vehicle around and collided with a second deputy’s patrol vehicle that sustained extensive damage, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. The deputy had minor injuries and was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital, the patrol said.
According to a report, Hall told officers he didn’t stop because he had no driver’s license.
A warrant for Hall’s arrest was issued Tuesday.
