A Raymondville woman is charged with two felonies following an incident Sunday at her residence, authorities said.

Emily M. McGuire, born in 1982, is charged with second-degree domestic assault and abuse or neglect of a child (no sexual contact). Both are Class D felonies. Bond is set at $2,500 cash.

The Texas County Sheriff’s Department was called following a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim said the woman had physically gotten on top of her and struck her in the head and facial area. The victim alleged she was able to free herself, but later the woman reengaged her and struck her again.

According to a report, the woman was taken to the Texas County Jail, where a device showed a blood-alcohol content of .213 percent, nearly three times the legal intoxication level.
