During the 2025 holiday season, $19,654 was collected in the local Red Kettle bell-ringing fundraising campaign.
The total surpassed that of 2024 by just over $700.
“2025’s Red Kettle Campaign certainly exceeded my expectations,” said Texas County Food Pantry executive director Laura Crowley.
Crowley said 80% of the total stays in Texas County to assist people in need who qualify.
“I appreciate all of my wonderful bell ringers every year,” she said, “but this year was by far my best year for ringers. More people were reaching out to volunteer at the kettle rather than me begging for help, and I can’t explain what a blessing that was.
“I want to thank all of the ringers, donors and my committee of helpers for making this a great season!”
