A man from Licking is charged with an alleged assault of another man.
Dwight L. Jefcoat Jr., born in 1986 and who lives on the 100 block of Beth Street, is charged with third-degree felony domestic assault following an incident Feb. 5 at a Licking home.
The Licking Police Department, in a report, said it was called to the home after a report that Jefcoat would not leave. A victim said the suspect refused to exit and eventually assaulted him before leaving. He alleged that Jefcoat had grabbed him by the neck and violently forced him to the ground, causing pain to his neck, left elbow and ribs on his left side.
Jefcoat denied the victim’s account. A witness corroborated the victim’s story.
Bond for Jefcoat is set at $2,500 cash.
