A man from Licking is charged with two felony offenses following a crash Sunday night on Highway AT near Buffalo Road.

Lukas-Michael J. Sellars is charged with unlawful use of a weapon by possessing it with a felony-controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Sellars was the driver of a vehicle that crashed. A handgun was found on his person, along with used syringes, the patrol said. A backpack contained two syringes with apparent blood and believed trace amounts of methamphetamine, according to a report.

Sellars said he fell asleep before crashing and destroying an electric pole, prompting an outage.

Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
