Gamma Phi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma met Feb. 14  at the Cabool First Methodist Church with 15 members present.  

The meeting was conducted by Faye Wiersema, Willow Springs.

The program, “The Pros and Cons of Using AI in the Classroom and Beyond,” was presented by Dara Jackson, Houston;  Samantha Sullivan, Norwood; Marla Burgess, Willow Springs;  and Elaine Campbell, Plato.  Program information and fun times included AI music, storytelling, chatting and summer planning ideas.

The group collected 33 books to be given to the Texas County Health Department in continuation with its “Born to Read Program.”

A special tribute was given for past member, Jewell Wagner, who passed away at 100 years old.  She had been a charter member of Gamma Phi since 1994.

The next meeting will be on April 11 at the Cabool First Methodist Church.
