A pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday in a Shannon County accident.
Tpr. C.C. Battreal said an 80-year-old Pacific man’s 2003 Toyota Tundra struck him in the roadway about 10 miles east of Akers before hitting a stump and tree.
It is the third fatality this year in the nine-county troop; compared to four at the same time in 2025.
