After a Monday that saw county fire departments busy responding to grass fires, the National Weather Service has issued a “Red Flag Warning” for Tuesday (Feb. 24) due to significant fire risk.

It said low humidity — 20 to 30 percent — and sustained winds of 20-25 miles per hour are providing conditions for significant danger.

The warning runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 24).
