A Raymondville boy was injured Sunday morning when his vehicle ran off Highway B about two miles west of his hometown.

Cpl. Travis Brown said a westbound 2000 Dodge Dakota driven by the 16-year-old driver ran off the right side of the highway, overcorrected, traveled off the left side, struck a fence and overturned.

The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston with minor injuries.

The vehicle had extensive damage. Assisting at the scene were Tpr. Jason Sentman and the Houston Rural Fire Department.
