Texas County commissioners held meetings Feb. 18 and 19, and attended training the following week. 

UPDATES

  • Commissioners attended mandatory annual training Feb. 25 to 27. They attended a township advisory board meeting on Feb. 23.
  • Other meetings included: A Clinton Township meeting Feb. 9, a South Central Ozarks Council of Governments (SCOCOG) meeting Feb. 17 and a health care meeting with U.S. Congressman Jason Smith Feb. 19.
  • The commission heard from the assessor, who visited with Andy Terry, State Tax Commission representative. 
  • A public safety grant was discussed with the sheriff. 
  • The Texas County Library’s annual budget was reviewed. 
  • David Scantlin visited with commissioners concerning township advisory board meetings. 
  • A visit with U.S. Forest Service personnel was had concerning the Paddy Creek Bridge project.
