The Houston Education Foundation (HEF) presented checks for three donations totaling $4,592.50 to Houston R-1 School District programs on Friday.

Grants included: 

  • A $1,680 check for the Chad Cargill ACT workshop geared toward prepping students with test strategies.
  • A $460 check to the Houston Alternative Learning Opportunities (HALO) program to purchase kitchen equipment for teaching life skills.
  • A $2,452.50 check to the Tiger Powerhouse training facility for equipment.
