The Houston R-1 School District has been selected as one of two pilot schools in the state for a traveling exhibit honoring Holocaust survivors.

“Lest We Forget” features more than 400 portraits from German-Italian photographer and filmaker Luigi Toscano. He said he created the project to honor survivors, combat antisemitism and foster empathy by bringing their stories into open, accessible public spaces.

The exhibition, which is open to the public, will be led and implemented by Houston High School students. The district said further details will be released when they are finalized.
