The Wright County Sheriff’s Department is investigating human skeletal remains found on property near Macomb, it said.
Sheriff BJ Adler said a local resident discovered the human remains last week on private property. The identity of the deceased is unknown.
“The remains have been transported for further forensic examination and identification,” Adler stated, noting that the investigation is ongoing and additional details will be released later.
