A South Central Correctional Center inmate in Licking faces a felony charge after an officer found contraband in his cell, according to court documents.

Christian S.J. Vannaman, 23, is charged with delivery or possession of a weapon at county/private jail/correctional center, a class B felony.

On Oct. 15, 2025, during a search of Vannaman’s cell, a piece of metal about 8 inches long was found in his shoe, which could be used to endanger someone, an officer said.

According to court documents, Vannaman admitted ownership of the contraband on multiple occasions, but claimed that another inmate allegedly coerced him into having it.

The Texas County prosecutor requested a $7,500 cash bond for Vannaman, citing a violent felony conviction within the last five years and no ties to the community. Charges were filed Feb. 26.
