No-excuse absentee balloting for the April 7 election begins Tuesday at the Texas County clerk’s office.
Persons can vote from the third-floor office at the Texas County Administration Center on North Grand Avenue in Houston.
There also is an opportunity to vote from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 4.
Sample ballots will appear in the Herald beginning next week.
The centerpiece on the ballot is a $2.95 million bond issue from the Houston School District. A four-sevenths majority is required for passage. The project includes development of a new track, middle school gym work, exterior work at the Fine Arts Building and retiring debt at the Piney River Technical Center.
