Jodie Forbes directs the Southern Ozarks Community Orchestra.

The Southern Ozarks Community Orchestra, whose membership includes Texas County residents, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the historic Star Theatre in downtown Willow Springs.

“Just for Fun — Favorites” is the first concert of the year.

Tickets are $10 at the door, and children under 5 are admitted free.

Among the musical entertainment: “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “The Pink Panther,” “Pinball Wizard,” “Doors on Tours,” “Eagles on Tour,”  “Nights in White Satin,” “Bohemian Rhapsody” and many more.

Houston’s Jodie Forbes, musical director and conductor since 2017, has lived in this area for over 40 years. She has been a music teacher in Cabool, Houston and Willow Springs, and is giving private lessons for the STARS Foundation and playing in several musical groups during her spare time.

The Southern Ozarks Community Orchestra is sponsored by the Willow Springs Arts Council and has served the area since 2009.
