A Cabool man is charged with stealing a pickup in his hometown following an investigation by two agencies.

Zaeus S. Pederson, born in 2000 and of Cedar Street, is charged with stealing, a class D felony; and tampering with a motor vehicle, a class D felony. Bond is set at $3,500 cash only.

Answering a March 26 call about a suspicious vehicle and person on Airport Road, a deputy found the reported stolen maroon GMC truck at about 11:15 a.m. It had been reported missing at about 8 a.m.

Cabool police had stopped the vehicle and issued citations to Pederson the same morning, before the vehicle was reported stolen, according to a report.
