A Mountain Grove man is charged with two felonies by the Texas County prosecutor’s office.

Blake W. Officer, born in 2001 and of Coke Road in Mountain Grove, is charged with forgery and receiving stolen property, both class D felonies. Bond is set at $2,241 cash only.

According to an investigation, Officer was alleged to have taken a check belonging to his employer, forged it and paid for his vehicle repairs. The victim told a deputy that the alleged theft was uncovered when a check was flagged by a bank.

Officer had paid for the truck repairs to a party while at Town and Country Bank in Licking, according to a report.
