Three agencies responded Sunday to a report of an out-of-control fire on Venable Drive.

The Roby Fire Department reported it was sparked by a burning brush pile.

Members of the Houston Rural Fire Department and U.S. Forest Service assisted. About four acres burned.

It was one of several calls in the region received Sunday amid dry conditions and brisk winds.
