Multiple members of the Future Farmers of America at Houston High School qualified for state following strong district performances.
The livestock team of Shiane Parish, Thomas Kincaid, Chesney Warner and Bryce Ramos were district champions. Parish was third individually.Â
Abbigail Lee was the district champ in Division 2 speaking to qualify for state.
The Ag mechanics team was district runners-up with Austin Elliot finishing third individually. He was joined by teammates Warren Hinkle, Eli Newsome and T.J. Royal.
Other state qualifying teams for HHS:
- Ag sales, fourth: Warner, Annabelle Westbrook, Maggie Wolfe and Halie Hamilton.
- Forestry, sixth: Brennan Malam, Oliver Greiner, Jonathan Causey and Elliot Barbagiovanni
- Horse evaluation, seventh: Arianna Shuman, Ava Koch, Kennedy Smith and Alexis Suda.
