A 33-year-old Licking man was seriously injured Tuesday night in a single-vehicle crash west of his hometown.

Tpr. Nathan Poynter said an eastbound 2017 Ford Explorer ran off the left side of Route 32 five miles west of Licking, struck a ditch and tree at about 7:52 p.m.

The man, who was not identified, was flown to Mercy in Springfield.

The vehicle was totaled. He was wearing a seat belt.
