A Licking woman is charged after a high-speed incident April 10 at Licking, authorities said.

Christina A. E. Shepherd, born in 1989, is charged with aggravated fleeing a stop or detention, possession of a controlled substance, driving while revoked/suspended and not having insurance. All are felony charges, except the latter.

Licking police said they observed a black Hyundai turn from Park Street onto Route 32 and it quickly accelerated. An officer said he followed the car as it reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour before exiting the city limits. Later, the pace reached 120 miles per hour. Eventually, the vehicle stopped in a Van Cleve Drive driveway.

A search of the vehicle found 58, 15 milligram Oxycodone pills, a controlled substance, in a small compartment in the dashboard. Shepherd said the pills belonged to her boyfriend. A computer check showed that vehicle’s identification number showed it was registered to another person with a different plate number.

She was taken to the Texas County Jail. The Texas County prosecutor requested a $3,000 cash bond.

In a separate investigation handled by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shepherd was stopped April 8 on Route 32 at Licking. She faces a driving while revoked/suspended charge, a class E felony.

The Texas County prosecutor requested a $1,000 cash bond.
