A log truck accident Monday morning injured two Licking residents, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Cpl. Joshua Summers said a westbound 1994 Mack log truck made a left turn onto Highway H and experienced brake failure. The truck ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

The Licking men — ages 24 and 51 — received minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Salem Memorial Hospital. Neither was wearing a seat belt nor was identified by the patrol.

The truck had extensive damage in the crash about 100 feet west of Highway CC.
