The May 12 meeting of the Cabool Art Club was held at the Christian Church and hosted by Felicia Ellis, Joyce Jones and Debbie Achey.

Following the luscious salad potluck luncheon, outgoing President Shelley Travis called the meeting to order. The slate of officers was presented and voted in for the 2026-2027 year.

Sari Wright announced the winners of the middle school short story writing contest. Club members were impressed with the creativity and historical themes. The awards were presented at the Cabool Middle School award ceremony.

Winners were Adyana Arce, first; Cora Moffis, second; and Chase Hensley, third.

Felicia Ellis led the club members in a program of imaginative and artful rock painting.

The Cabool Art Club is continuing to celebrate America’s 250th birthday and make a difference in the community. Everyone is invited to visit the Art Club Scholarship fundraising booth at the Cranberry Merchant at 510 Main St. in Cabool. The Club will be adjourned for the summer and the next regularly scheduled meeting will be in the fall. All women are welcome to join this organization to promote the fine arts.
