CASA of South Central Missouri is partnering with Piney River Brewing Company for a family-friendly fundraising event next month.

“Tap Into Hope” is scheduled for 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Piney River Brewing Company, located at 15194 Walnut Grove Drive in Bucyrus.

The event will feature live music from the One More Dollar Band, performing from 5 to 8 p.m., along with kids’ activities, yard games and free root beer floats for children. Food will be available for purchase, with ground beef donated once again this year by the Texas County Cattlemen’s Association. A silent auction and CASA information table will also be on site.

Jenn Thomas, director of operations for CASA of South Central Missouri, said the event is about more than just fundraising.

“We really want to spread the word so we can reach that many more people,” Thomas said. “It’s going to be a great, family-friendly day.”

CASA — Court Appointed Special Advocates — trains and supports volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system, working to ensure every child has a voice and a chance at a safe, permanent home.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event, ranging from $250 Community Sponsorships to larger presenting and activity-specific packages. Interested businesses or individuals can contact Thomas at jenn.thomas@casascmo.org or by calling 573-426-5437.
