The Houston City Council made pay-related decisions for five employees Tuesday during a closed session meeting.

Members unanimously approved a six percent hourly pay increase effective April 20 for electric department employees Travis Lunbeck, Brecken Adey, BJ James, Braedin Groff and Cooper Mills.

A performance-based supplemental pay was also approved for Lunbeck, $1,550; Adey, $1,100; James, $1,100; Groff, $1,100; and Mills, $900. It was based on a wage and performance study.

Lunbeck, electric supervisor, was also moved up a step in the pay scale, effective May 4.

The meeting lasted less than 30 minutes.
