Gov. Mike Kehoe announced an appointment for associate circuit judge in Texas County in the 25th judicial circuit Friday.

Brian G. Ellsworth, of Cabool, was appointed to the position. Ellsworth previously served as an attorney in the Office of Legal Ethics Counsel and Advisory Committee of the Supreme Court of Missouri before transitioning to private practice.

He currently serves as a member and past president of the Cabool Kiwanis Club.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration in English from Drury University and a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill.

Ellsworth will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Brad D. Eidson.
