A Cabool woman was involved in a two-vehicle accident in Diggins Monday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

The 27-year-old woman was driving a 2025 Ford Bronco westbound on U.S. 60 when she slowed for a construction zone where traffic was stopped, swerved to avoid the traffic and a 2025 Ford Expedition driven by a 36-year-old West Plains woman also swerved to avoid the stopped traffic and did not stop in time, impacting the rear of the Bronco, the patrol said.

The West Plains woman and two 10-year-old female passengers suffered minor injuries in the accident, and were transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The Expedition was totaled and the Bronco has extensive damage.
