A Summersville man is charged with three felonies following an alleged altercation Wednesday, authorities said.

Roger C. Blanks, 33, and a resident of Hunter Drive, is charged with fourth-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon by exhibiting.

Bond has been set at $5,000 cash only.

A victim told a county deputy that Blanks had entered a bedroom, and she confronted him about his drinking. A young child was in the house. Blanks began yelling and throwing things, she said, noting fishing rods were broken. Blanks allegedly said, “It’s better than breaking your neck.” Later, the victim alleged that Blanks pulled a knife and began waving it in her face.

Blanks left the bedroom, returned and threw a soda can at her and reported that a caseworker had arrived.
