Additional activities in Houston have been announced for a three-day celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday.

The City of Houston is organizing Summerfest 2026, which will run July 3-5 at various locations in the community.

Here is a preliminary list of items planned: Friday night car show, South 63 Band and food in Emmett Kelly Park, Freedom 5K/10K Race, National Day of Prayer, Houston Area Chamber of Commerce parade on Saturday, vendors, live music and Main Street Fun Zone, a patriotic choir, a fireworks show Saturday at the Houston Memorial Airport and Sunday sunrise service and pancake breakfast. Exact times and locations will be announced later.
