Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatality Saturday evening in its nine-county region.
Cpl. Mayela Redmon said a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan ran off a county road just south of Mountain View when it failed to negotiate a curve, struck a fence and overturned at about 9:28 p.m. The 41-year-old Mountain View man was reported deceased at the scene. Next of kin was notified.
It was the 10th fatality in Troop G in 2026; compared to 11 at the same time in 2025.
The 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan had extensive damage. The driver, who was not identified, was not wearing a seat belt.
