Kayla Wagner finished fifth in the 400-meter dash Saturday at the Missouri Class 3 championship.

She posted a time of 59.57, three-hundredths of a second shy of her personal record, to capture all-state honors. The senior made it to the event’s final race at Adkins Stadium in Jefferson City after placing 7th in the qualifying round Friday.

The honor caps off an impressive career for Wagner, who holds the school record in the event.

Junior Adyson Dailing placed 8th in the 300-meter hurdles to also get all-state honors. She ran a time of 47.24, shy of school record 46.37 mark.
