Michael Jones

Michael Keith Jones, 55, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains after suffering a massive heart attack.

He was born March 17, 1957, in Houston, son of Everett Lloyd and Marie Haney Jones. He and “Betty” Elaine Mitchell were married Dec. 31, 1983.

He was a talented artist. He loved telling jokes and pulling pranks.

He graduated from Licking High School in 1975. He worked for Rawlings Sporting Goods for 28 years until they closed. He was employed the past nine years at George O’ White State Forest Nursery.

He was saved and baptized at an early age and was a member of Boone Creek Baptist Church.

He loved his family and was looking forward to the annual Cream Can Dinner on Labor Day weekend.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine of the home; two daughters, Kayleann of the home and Llonda Renee of St. Louis; three sisters, Llonda Jones and Vanessa Ellis of Licking and Patty Coats of Bucyrus; and many other family members.

Services were Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Max K. Burkhead officiating. Burial was in Boone Creek Cemetery.
