A Texas County woman received injuries early Sunday on Highway 17 north of Summersville.
Tpr. Marty Wiseman said a southbound 2001 Ford Windstar driven by Shawannalace N. Sciotto, 18, of Hartshorn, was traveling southbound about four miles north of Summersville when a deer was struck at about 4:20 a.m.
Sciotto, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
