The Miss Texas County Scholarship Pageant will hold its annual event Oct. 15 at the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce Fairgrounds.
The open pageant consists of several categories: tiny (ages 3-4), little (5-6), petite (7-9), preteen (10-12) and miss and outstanding teen (13-24).
The event will be emceed by KY3 meteorologist Brandon Beck and Sidney Friar, Miss Missouri 2011.
The Miss Texas County Pageant is a preliminary pageant to the Miss Missouri/Miss America Scholarship Pageants. The event has given out more than $12,000 over the past 11 years. The Miss Texas County Scholarship is a 501(c)3 organization.
The Miss America pageants national platform is Children’s Miracle Network. Each local Miss contestant must raise $100 for CMN.
