Licking won two of the three doubles matches Tuesday to squeak past the Houston tennis team 5-4.
The teams split the singles matches. Michael Castleman (8-3), Austin Bathon (9-7) and Patience Clinton (8-1) had victories for the Tigers.
Castleman and Bathon won their doubles match 6-3. Randy Barker and Drake Bell were defeated 7-5 and Clinton and Madison Bennett lost 6-4.
On Saturday, Bell won his singles match 8-5 for the lone point in the Tigers’ 8-1 loss at Salem.
Last Thursday, West Plains blanked the Tigers 9-0.
