An injured Cabool man wandered around Highway AH early Wednesday about six miles south of Plato attempting to find a clue as to his location.
James W. Reid, 62, ran off the roadway and struck a tree at about 2:15 a.m. He called emergency personnel, but he was unsure where he was located. Members of the Huggins Fire Department were called to aid in the search.
Reid, who had moderate injuries and was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital, said Tpr. Marty Wiseman. Reid’s 2005 Chrysler was totaled, Wiseman said.
