Texas County’s unemployment rate dropped slightly in December, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The figure was 9.4 percent, which is a decrease of one-tenth of a percentage point from the previous month.
The average in south-central Missouri was 9.4 percent.
Area counties and their jobless rates were: Douglas, 8.5; Howell, 8.6; Shannon, 13.3; and Wright, 10.3.
