The Houston seventh grade girls’ basketball team lost 29-24 Tuesday night at Ava. It was the team’s second defeat of the season.
Krista Scott led the Lady Tigers with 10 points. Mikayla Koch, Sarah Kelley and Autumn Walker scored four points apiece.
“We definitely had our chances. We were 0-12 from the free-throw line and missed layup after layup,” Houston coach John Jordan said. “The positive is I felt we played much harder than we did the previous two games.”
EIGHTH GRADE: Kylee Elmore scored eight points and Karissa Zalucky had seven in the Lady Tigers’ 26-21 loss Tuesday at Ava.
