Houston sophomore Kyle Jones won the high jump and triple jump Monday at the Ava Relays.

Jones also finished second in the long jump and third in the 400 meters.

Also for the boys, Tyler Smith was third in the triple jump.

Bethany Korte was third in the long jump and 200 meters for the girls. The 4×200 relay team of Kayla Herndon, Kaitlyn Kell, Taylor Korte and Bethany Korte finished second. Danielle Pounds teamed with Kell and the Kortes to finish second in the 4×100 relay.

Last Thursday in West Plains, Bethany Korte finished fifth in the 100 meters and sixth in the long jump.

The Lady Tigers’ 4×200 relay team finished fourth, and the 4×100 relay was fifth.

The previous day at Salem, Jones won the high jump and was second in the long jump for the Tigers.

On the girls’ side, Herndon finished second in the 300 hurdles and Bethany Korte was second in the 100.

The 4×100 relay team placed second. The 4×200 relay was third.
