Man asleep in grocery parking lot arrested on drug charges
A Licking man was arrested last week after authorities discovered marijuana, prescription controlled substances and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle, according to the Licking Police Department.
In a news release, Licking police said a 40-year-old Licking man was arrested for possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to the Texas County Jail. His name was not released.
A Licking police officer was dispatched at 9:45 p.m. last Wednesday to the Town and Country Supermarket parking lot, where a man was reportedly sleeping in his car. The officer discovered a man apparently under the influence of drugs. A search revealed the illegal substances.
