A Salem man was injured Dec. 31 in a Highway VV crash southeast of Licking when he swerved to miss a deer, ran off the road and struck trees, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Tpr. Terry Nelson said Arthur C. Fackert, 70, was traveling eastbound when the accident occurred.
Fackert, who was wearing a seat belt, was to seek his own treatment. His 2002 Ford Windstar van sustained moderate damage, Nelson said.
