“Share Your Christmas,” the annual Christmas campaign that helps needy children in Texas County, this week made an urgent appeal in the face of lagging donations.
Coordinator Pat Miller reported that donations of items are behind at the headquarters, which is situated in the basement of the Houston Lions Club on North U.S. 63. So far, 206 children need help. Only 46 have been adopted.
There are several ways to help:
—Cases are documented in the Herald, and an Angel Tree at Romines Motor Co. Inc. also details needs.
—Monetary donations can be sent to: “Share Your Christmas,” P.O. Box 170, Houston, Mo. 65483.
Miller said donations of new or good used toys and clothing or money to purchase items are desperately needed. More people are needed to adopt individual cases, too.
Pitching in this week to help were: Blue Heaven Club, National Honor Society, Peace Chapel Church, Bado Community Church, Landmark Bank employees and Houston House.
