Officers with the Houston Police Department are investigating thefts from several vehicles in the city.
Police said Angela D. Grogan, 219 E. Pine, reported someone had stolen a computer, wireless device, sunglasses, cellphone charger and computer jump drive on Oct. 13. The total loss was $1,130.
Jeff McNiell, 727 Bryan, said someone swiped a GPS device, satellite radio and some electronic cords – all worth about $444 – from his vehicle. The GPS device was recovered Monday morning at a local pawn shop.
Earlier this week, police said other vehicle theft cases are under investigation. There are suspects.
In other matters, police:
-Cited Jessica L. Spauldin, 17, of Cabool, with following too closely following an accident Oct. 13 on South Sam Houston Blvd. Police said Spauldin slid on wet pavement and struck a car driven by Craig A. Ring, 31, of Fordland.
-Charged David W. Wolfe, 22, of 403 N. Grand Ave. with misuse of emergency telephone service on Oct. 12. Police said Wolfe caled Wri-Tex because he and his girlfriend were having an argument. Wolfe said that he knew someone would call and report him because he was yelling, so he wanted to call first and save the trouble, according to a report.
-Charged Colt K. Sutton, 17, of Cabool, with minor in possession of alcohol on Oct. 18.
-Charged Lori A. Haney, 25, of 8827 U.S. 63, with failing to yield the right-of-way following an Oct. 15 accident. Officers said Haney was attempting to avoid a collision with another vehicle when she struck a truck operated by Richard S. Mann, 44.
