Katheryn Elizabeth Cameron, 91, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in Rogers, Ark.

She was born Dec. 6, 1917, in Marionville, daughter of Robert and Anna Lynn. She and Virgil E. Cameron of Licking were married Aug. 20, 1938, in Harrison, Ark. He died in January 1998.

Her father died when she was three. She was raised by her mother and grandfather, Robert Bolton.

She graduated from Crane High School and attended Marionville Community College. She and her husband lived in Taft, Calif., before returning to the family farm in Licking upon retiring about 30 years ago.

She enjoyed sharing pictures and stories about her children and their families. She was an active member in the Order of Eastern Star at Summersville, receiving her 50-year pin in June 1998. She compiled and wrote a published novel and was in the process of writing another.

Survivors include five children, Dr. Glen Cameron of Branson, John Cameron of Orlando, Fla., Anne Cameron of Rogers, Ark., Lynn Cameron of Independence and Neil Cameron of Cape Carteriet, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Services were Saturday, March 21, at United Methodist Church in Licking with Pastor Connie Bell officiating. Burial was in Licking Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
