Ava outscored the Houston JV Tigers 20-9 in the second quarter and pulled away for a 52-29 victory Monday night.

Kaleb Poynter scored a team-high 10 points for the Tigers. Kevin Dunn was 6-for-6 at the foul line en route to eight points.

On Friday Jake Scheets scored 13 points and Justin Buchholz had 11 in the Tigers’ 38-28 victory against Cabool.

Curry Van Horn, who missed Tuesday’s game with an ankle injury, scored four points.
